C-RAY® TWIN
Description
To be able to move a lot of debris in pipe effectively there is no way around higher water flow rate at reasonable pressure from the nozzle. To invest in larger combination units supplied with pump capacities above 80-100 US GPM is not always an economical investment if the average cleaning work is mostly in pipe sizes under 24”.
Our customers asked NozzTeq® develop a bottom cleaning nozzle that allowed them, when necessary, to connect two of their jetting units to obtain double water flowrate. This was an economic solution when existing pump power could not do the cleaning job. With our patented tube system and 8 jets we designed the C-RAY®TWIN.
To connect the two jetting units in the pipe, park one jetter at the downstream well and the other at the upstream well. Use a normal cleaning nozzle to transport the sewer cleaning hose from the combination truck at the downstream manhole, to the upstream manhole. Once the nozzle arrives, remove the standard nozzle from the hose and connect the C-RAY®TWIN. Mount the hose from the jetter parked upstream to the front swivel of the C-RAY®TWIN and the downstream hose to the other end. . Start the high-pressure pumps on the two trucks. While the upstream hose reel is on freewheel, the downstream hose is slowly pulling the nozzle back downstream. To save water, once the nozzle arrives to downstream well, shut off the two pumps and rewind the upstream hose, while the downstream hose is on freewheel.
If a lot of debris in pipe, perform step cleaning. Note that the pumps do not need to have equal pump capacity. We at NozzTeq® will adapt the nozzle to operate with booth pumps. The inner design of the nozzle prevents creating turbulent flows inside nozzle. Feel free to call and speak with one of our highly trained specialists.
